Faerieland

Faerieland has two areas. The world map takes you to the entrance to Faerieland, which contains mostly games, which are discussed elsewhere on Hints and Tips.

Get to know the Healing Springs, which is a cheap and easy way to heal sick or injured pets. You can visit the Healing Springs once every 30 minutes, so keep trying. If your pet becomes sick, the Healing Springs will eventually cure it, although it may take a few visits. Far better than buying expensive cures. You will also get your pet fed, have it's hp restored and be given items you can sell.

The Rainbow Fountain is also in this part of Faerieland. As far as is known, this is only active when you have completed a quest from the Fountain Faerie. You will then get access to paint your active pet in any of the colours available for that species. From the entrance to Faerieland, you can also get to the Faerie City.

Faerie City

There are several interesting things here.

The Hidden Tower. Neopets changed the url to the Tower recently, so it's possible they intend to change it regularly. To find the Tower, pass your mouse over the blank area just to the left of the castle. Your mouse pointer will change indicating there's an invisible link there. Click and you'll go to the Hidden Tower, which sells very expensive weapons and other items.

Faerie Quests. This is where you go to "report in" after you have found the requested quest item. Go to the link above for help and information on faerie quests.

The Employment Agency.

You can go here to get jobs for your pet and earn some nps. You do have to be careful which ones you pick as some may cost you more to complete than the amount you will be paid.

Super jobs require job coupons. There are no ways to obtain job coupons at present and so they cost a lot from user shops. It is very unlikely that a super job will pay you enough to cover the cost of the job coupon, so don't bother with those at the moment.

Jobs refresh every 10 minutes, on the hour, at 10 past the hour and so on. You need to be quick to get the lucrative jobs, but you also need to be careful to pick ones that will give you a profit and give you enough time to complete them in.

If you fail to complete a job, this will show on your pets lookup, although you can withdraw from a job for a small nps penalty to avoid a failure being recorded.

Help on Faerie Quests
submitted by neomomrenee

First, decide if you want to do the quest. If it's an Earth Faerie quest, you'll probably want to refuse it. The earth faerie fills your pet up with food. This is not worth very much, since you can do the same thing for much less than 100 NP. All the other types of quests are usually worth it, especially if your pet battles in the battledome.

If you decide not to do the quest, go to the Faerie Quest page and click on "I don't want to do this quest." The faerie will scold you and say that you may not have another quest for a specified period of time. IMPORTANT: After this time has elapsed, come back to the Faerie Quest page and click on "I'm ready for another quest." Otherwise you may not see another quest for a long time.

If you forget what you were asked for, you can always go to the Faerie Quests page in Faerieland. The easiest thing is to highlight the name of the item you've been asked for, and then use "Copy" to place that information in the clipboard.

Go to the guild discussion board and post a message asking for help. Use a subject like "Quest help: pink toothbrush." Then paste in the stuff you copied describing the quest.

A guild member will then go to the shop wizard for you, locate a shop that has the item, and post this information on the message board. This can happen within moments or in an hour or so depending upon the time of day. Be sure to check the guild message board regularly while your quest is pending to see if anyone has posted help.

Sometimes, a guild member will be kind enough to simply send you the item. In either case, post a message saying "thank you" to the member who helped you. It's also polite to send the member a thank you gift. The nature and size of the gift is entirely up to you, but a more expensive gift is appropriate if the member sent you what you needed.

Have fun with your quests!
