Krawk Island

Krawk Island is home to the Swashbuckling Academy and various games and shops discussed elsewhere on Hints and Tips. You can find the Golden Dubloon here. (See tip below). Smugglers Cove is here, which is similar to the Hidden Tower and you may find rare items to purchase with Dubloons. These items are limited, so if you are lucky, you may get an item you can sell for a lot more. You may also find Buried Treasure here once every 3 hours. The Fungus Cave is also hidden on Krawk Island. If you look on the map for the signs for Smugglers Cove and Krawk Cup and hold your mouse in between those and move downwards, you can find it that way. If you have a Krawk Petpet, this is where you make them into a Neopet. To do this, make sure you do not have more than 3 Neopets. Attach the Krawk petpet to one of your Neopets and give it the name you want it to have as a Neopet (I assume it would be wise to pick a name not already in use by another Neopet). Then go to the cave, where you will be able to feed fungus to the petpet. This will make it mutate into a Neopet. |
The Golden Dubloon

The Golden Dubloon is one place where you can spend any dubloons you may find. However, this is an expensive way to feed your pet, so sticking to omelettes is a much cheaper way to do it! The food is fed direct to your pet, rather than appearing in your inventory. However, it is possible that you may get to take food items away as leftovers if your pet is bloated.
They are all rare gourmet foods and this is the only way they enter the neopian market, so the resale value is high. Some items have not been released into Neopia from the menu yet, so check which ones appear in trades/auctions and the shop wizard and avoid selecting the ones that don't, if you are aiming to take any away. Getting leftovers is very rare, hence the high resale value. (I once took one of my already very bloated pets to try this out. I spent around 30 dubloons and left with nothing but a pet who was too full to eat for nearly 2 weeks!) If you are feeding gourmet food to your pet, eating at the Golden Dubloon doesn't count towards the Gourmet Club score. The Golden Dubloon Menu
