There are four areas within Meridell. The link from the world map takes you to Meridell. Meridell This area contains games and shops, which are discussed elsewhere in Hints and Tips. This is also the home of The Turmaculus. He can only be woken once a day at a random time, for a period of an hour, so keep an eye on the chat and message boards to see when others have been successful. If you find out he can be woken up, post on the Guild message board to let others know. There is a random risk that your petpet will get eaten by him, so wake him nicely and with your fingers crossed! There are also links to the Merri Acres Farm, the The Darigan Citadel and the Meridell Castle. All of these areas contain games which are discussed elsewhere in Hints and Tips. The Citadel and the Castle links aren't sign posted in Meridell, but the Citadel is the floating land at the back of the Meridell picture to the left of the sun and the Castle is in the bottom left hand corner of the picture. Below you'll find a Turdle Racing tip, as this game isn't on the Neopets games pages at the moment.

I've factored out the odds methods to reduce losses fer the racing games. Just like horse and dog track bookings the trick is to ensure whatever ye bet on any beast amounts to the same as if ye bet on the favorite (in these cases 3:1 shots). Here are the computations that I feel we should add to the Database: 3:1 Turdle(1500NP), Poogle (300NP) 4:1 Turdle(1125NP), Poogle (225NP) 5:1 Turdle( 900NP), Poogle (180NP) 7:1 Turdle( 643NP), Poogle (129NP) 9:1 Turdle( 500NP), Poogle (100NP) These bets ensure 4500NP per turdle and 900NP per Poogle in order ta reduce yer neopint losses over the long run. So long as ye bet on the same pet or petpet each round ye'll increase yer chance of success. If'n you follow the same practice fer these as you do fer Food Club in doin' the math. You can configure any set o' values you want. I just supplied the max fer them.
