First of all decide if you want a trophy or just to get the max neopoints (1000). If you just want the np, send your score after the 30th round. If you want a trophy, try for it on the 1st of the month after neopets clears the high score boards. I worked on my 1st place trophy on the 3rd of the month and spent over 6 hours to get it. In this game there are 4 spaces. You need to find which color belongs in which space within 10 guesses.. The best strategy is narrowing down your choices and finding as many colors in the right places as soon as you can. After you submit a guess you will get black marks for each color in the correct position and white marks for correct colors in the wrong position. Here is how I do it 99% of the time I get the max np: (I am going to use 1-6 to represent the colors) Say the combination is 3 4 4 5 First - 1111 Second - 2221 - note I left the last slot on one. If the last color happens to be 2, I have saved a turn. If they are all 2, I have wasted a turn. Of all the tips & hints I have read no one mentions doing it this way. But, I prefer it. If I guessed all 2222, it would be no help in helping me possibly reducing the options of where 2 can lie. Third - 3331 - Now I will get a black mark telling me I have one color right & in the right position. I also know that 3 is not in the 4th slot. But, I could have saved a turn if it were because I would have received a white mark & the only other place it could be would be position 4. Fourth - 3444 - Now I will get 3 black marks so I know that 3 is correct. Fifth -3544 - I will get 2 black marks & 2 white marks. So, I know that 5 is in the 3rd or 4th position since 3 is right. Sixth - 3454 - Again 2 black marks & 2 white marks. Now I know it has to be 3445. It takes just a bit to get use to. But, always attack the game in a logical, systematical manner & you will be almost guaranteed to earn 3000 np a day by playing Codebreakers 3 times. I always work the colors in order starting with red, going to white & ending with green.

Codebreakers isn't too hard if you follow this strategy. Don't select randomly hoping to hit the right code ~ it's unlikely you will. On your first guess, just leave them all red. Next, however many you get wrong, replace those with white. For example, if after your first turn, you had 2 right, next turn you should guess 2 red and 2 white. Keep going like this, trying one colour at a time for any you still have wrong. Since there are 6 different colours, you will know the correct colours at least by your 6th turn. While you are working out the colours, you may also be able to work on the order. Keep an eye on how many are in the right place as well as the right colour and try different orders as you move through the colours. Once you know all the colours, you may not know the correct order for some or all. Use trial and error. Pay attention to how many are right in the right place, and how many are right in the wrong place, and compare those with previous turns.
