Training Tips submitted by cyrix_ii |
Training is a very important part of the battledome. There are four parts to training your pet; levels, strength, hit points, and defence. Movement as of right now has no use or effect in the battledome, so there is no real point in training for movement. Level is one of the most important ones. You can only raise your other stats 2 times your level. Hit points can go 3 times your level. Example: This was my lab pet so his stats are really messed up. Now that you understand that, we can take a look at where to train your pets. First place is Cap'n Threelegs' Swashbuckling Academy (located in Krawk Island). Here you use dubloons to pay for your training. The second is Mystery Island Training School. You pay with codestones here. Here is a chart of what it cost for each training. Swashbuckling Academy Training School I like to use Mystery Island
Training School, but it is all a matter of if you can get
codestones or dubloons easier. For my tips in training your pet
we will use a made up pet that I will call Lucky. First thing you want to do is set a goal that you want your pet to reach. When setting your goals know what is most effective. Strength breaks are at 14,25,55,85,125,and 200. This means that a pet with 24 strength does less damage then a pet with 25 strength. Level 50 is a very important level because you get berzerk attack at level 50. This is very useful when battling. You also don't want to put yourself in the poor house by spending all your hard earned NPS on training. I will set my goal for Lucky at; hit points 100, strength 85, defence 100,and level at 50. This will make him as strong as a 124 strength pet, great defence, good hit points, and berzerk attack. Now that my goals are set I start training. Using Mystery Island Training School I have until level 21 before it cost me 2 codestones to train. I want to take as much advantage of spending only 1 codestone as possible. I would start with hit points for one training. Now with all 20 stats I would train one level. Then I would train 2 strength, 2 defence, and 2 hit points. Do this over and over until Lucky reaches level 20. He should have stats that are level 20,strength 40, defence 40, and hit points 40. Here is where you can take advantage of extending the cheap training. With his level at 20 and hit points at 40 you can go 3 times the level in hit points. Why not train hit points for 20 more times? That way it will save you 20 codestones in training. Now Lucky has stats of level 20, strength 40, defence 40 and hit points 60. You want to make sure that you don't go past your next level in training. It may just cost you more in the long run. Next you will have to train level up to level 30. Now his strength and defence can be brought up to 60 each. All this has been done on 1 codestone a train and 2 codestones. Once his stats are all leveled again I would train like before ( each stat one after the other) untill they are to the next price range. He should be setting at level 40, strength 80, defence 80, and hit points 80. Repeat the same as before, training hit points 10 to 20 more. For my goal on this pet I would go 20 more. That would give me the 100 hit points that I set for Lucky and only 10 more levels for 50, 20 more for defence, and 5 more for strength. Be careful of random events that raise levels, faerie quests, and the shrine, because they cause you move up in a stat before you are ready. They can also save you some NPS too if they come at the right time. After my goals are met I will have a pretty good fighting pet that can take on most of the single player challengers. Lucky would also do pretty good in a war. Once you reach the higher levels it costs 3 to 4 codestones to train. Try to make the most of your NPS all the time. My pet is now at a level 80, so I have been training his hit points as high as they can go because after level 81 it will cost me 4 codestones. remember this is just what worked for me and you may find a better way to train your own pet. After you have trained your pet to be strong and rule the battledome you can start to buy those hidden tower items that you have always wanted. It costs a lot to train your pet and get him strong, but it will pay off when the next war comes around.
When training your pet it is best to set yourself some goals. Make sure you do not set your goals too high. You wouldn't want to end up broke and in the poor house. |
